Jenny Hutchinson is a registered fitness trainer and has qualifications in aerobics, aquaerobics, gym instruction, gentle exercise and is a fitness trainer of special populations. Jenny started attending sessions in the early 1980’s in the days of leg-warmers and jumping on bare concrete floors at which point she decided that she could be a better teacher than those teaching her.
Merridy Huxley is passionate about health and fitness. She has a degree in Physical Education from the University of Western Australia. Over the past 26 years she has worked with a wide range of ages in the areas of Physical Education, Recreation and Outdoor Education. In 2005 Merridy decided to update her knowledge and completed a Certificate III in Fitness and has completed studying Certificate IV in 2007 to become a Personal Trainer.

So with supreme self confidence she became a registered fitness leader. Jenny has managed fitness centres, has worked in the community and has been involved in various research projects.

Jenny established Running Wild Fitness in 1994 offering fitness classes and personal training to clients in the Hornsby and upper North Shore area.

She was awarded the 2003 Hornsby Citizen of the Year for her work with the elderly and falls prevention. She has lived in Berowra Heights since 1992.

Jenny participated in the 2008 Oxfam Sydney Trailwalk.

She enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits including bushwalking, cycling, skiing and kayaking. In 2005 Merridy represented NSW in marathon kayaking and with her kayak partner Marg Cook currently holds records in the Hawkesbury Classic and Murray Marathon.

Shelagh Hayman

Shelagh is passionate about teaching Yoga and hopes to share that passion with others. She is a fully qualified Yoga teacher and has been practising her own Yoga for 30 years! Shelagh teaches Hatha Yoga, Ha means Sun/ physicality, tha means Moon/Mind so it aims to bring balance to our body and Mind.

 


Kate is a dynamic 20 year old studying Psychology at Uni to be a personal trainer. She is trained in Certificate 3 in Fitness.
Shelagh teaches all the classic Yoga Poses to stretch and strengthen the whole body, some breath awareness and exercises to increase energy and reduce stress and finish off with a peaceful relaxation to bring harmony to the mind. Shelagh believes Yoga can benefit everyone, so don’t be shy to try Yoga, you don’t need to be flexible , we are all a work in progress as we work towards flexibility but combining that with stability, stamina and strength. You will enjoy: Better posture, increased range of movement throughout the whole body, better digestion and circulation, Yoga reduces stress and increases your “feel good hormones”, finally you’ll have more energy, and a better night’s sleep.
